Fukuoka-kun

This is my character design represent "Fukuoka" (city in Japan)
for "Fukuoka Illustration Contest" (contest in Thailand with "sister city event")

Fukuoka is one of biggest city in Kyushu, commercial city, and now is modern city. However, this city still have tradition, culture, festival, and many famous foods.

I choose these characters of city to my design ....

Businessman (or salaryman) -- as commercial and modern city

Ramen -- it's Hakata ramen, one of the most famous ramen in Japan

Kamen -- it's Hakata kamen, you can search about it in the internet too.



I think his name should be "Fukuoka Hakata"
Fukuoka as surname and Hakata (that is district in Fukuoka city) is his name



About the contest, I got consolation prize (6th rank from 7prizes)
and the prize is foods and snacks from Fukuoka. Very delicious for me
